Welcome to Keener Living. My name is Bruce Keener. I established this blog in March 2007, a few months after retiring at the age of 57. My reason for having this blog is to share what I’ve learned over the years (and what I continue to learn). I also enjoy hearing and learning from you.
In my 32 years as a business professional, I learned a lot about productivity and leadership, what counts and what doesn’t. And, even before I earned BSEE and MSEE degrees from Georgia Tech over 32 years ago, I have loved technology. So I write about these things. Unfortunately, a lot of today’s technology is really boring … but there is occasionally some good stuff to talk about.
In addition to these topics, I sometimes write thought pieces. These are intended to help you look at things differently. That’s one of the best ways to learn something new, and I am a strong believer that we should all be life-long learners.
I very much want you to share your tips and suggestions. You can do so by commenting on articles or you can send me an email.
A little more about me:
- I am a widower with two children, 7 grandchildren, and a greatgrandchild. My search for meaning after my wife passed away is discussed on this Big Picture page. It is a bit dated, but may be of interest to some of you.
- My best friends, and my “little boys,” are my dogs, Booger and Bouncer.
- I enjoy playing fingerstyle guitar. A number of my free “just setting around playing” recordings are available on this page.
- In addition to technology and personal development, I have a layman’s interest in physics, cosmology, biology, psychology, and entrepreneurship.
Thank you. Enjoy!
Thank you,
Bruce Keener
