The technology of analytics in modern times is fascinating. There is so much data running around all the time that there are processes that analyze processes that are analyzing processes, and so on down the line. You can even look at Google analytics readouts and see that a lot of the data that gets returned to you is about repetition. The more than an event repeats, the more it is recognized that something relevant, and then the more a company, person, or business can emphasize that point in their output.
Efficiency Engineering
Perhaps you’ve never heard of efficiency engineering, but it’s a big part of the technology of progress. Basically, if there are observational units in place to see how long it takes to do something, or how much energy it takes to do something, a business owner can then tweak the process of that action and find out if it takes more or less time or energy. By continually figuring out how to shave off the amount of time it takes to do work, exceptional improvements in efficiency can happen. And, with the way that some cameras and sensors work these days, the same kind of observation and analysis can occur with both human and machine elements.
Trial and Error Regarding New Technology
Ultimately, a lot of technological improvements come down to the results of trial and error projects. If you can imagine for a minute how many times early technology for self-driving cars had to be tested, you can see where trial and error would be a major function of the engineering teams. And each new piece of technology that got added to the mix would require more testing in that same manner.
